Thermal spray technicians run HVOF, plasma, and wire processes after they have proven they read a procedure colder than they run a gun. CNC grinders spend their lives on tapers and carbides — taper grind and diamond are not side quests. Inspectors who already hold or can earn Level II NDT work penetrant and dimensional checks under quality procedures.
